Allow us modify units name and also the name will be changed with player's customization

I'm the fan of American Civil War so after dlc out, i was really exciting cuz at last i can act as an officer and eventually i can create my own army with the regiments. The battle is very nice in regimental which makes me fell this is the civil war battle i wanna see.
But another annoying thing is i want to create an army similar to his historical OOB, but I found whatever i did, the abbreviation is still its origin, like I create a new Virginia Unit and i wanna let it called 33rd VA, but the game follow the existing order, automatically called 50th VA, though i can change the name myself but it still are called 50th VA
so i really hope we can change the names, change the brief in the game but not by using modding tool

I'm not sure why you can't in the army panel. Just click on the name and it will highlight and then change it. In 1861 I took over 4th division. I changed it out to artillery only and renamed it 1st Battalion. I then renamed 5th division to 4th division and it all stuck. Even the units I had no control over. So you should be able to rename everything.

My English is not very good so i might cant describe it clearly

yes that's the panel. so this might be a messed up file on your side or you found another bug with the AI controlling certain things. Or option 2 is I found a bug by being able to change it, but I know mine was a clean install with verification of files after.

Yeah, this is probably a problem of the unique way units are named in the Eastern campaign. The "short" name used in the OBB overview has no connection to the "long" name we can change.

I just had a realization that you are playing the east campaign while I was playing the grand campaign as a career.
