Import is impossible, sorry
Do I make changes to the tool and export to the file I want it to go in?
Thanks for the info, it's a great tool anyway.
1 = 3000 rifles
1.5 = 4500 rifles
...Weapon Agents *should* increase the value set in this file. But could it be that Union had Security Measures policy, which reduces the number?
No tutorial at the moment, sorry. This is a question of time, and currently time is used for other dev topics. But in short, if you edit a file and export, you replace the old file with the new one. Creating a backup is recommended.
Check what files are in the \config\ folder and which ones are within each \battlefields\XXX\Y\ and \campaigns\001\Z\ folder and you get the idea what data is read from where, when loading.
...and backup, again. If there is any error in the new files, loading may stop or the game may run with exceptions in the background (= game is "broken").
No I strictly play with historical choices for Ai, since I find the other ones too unbalancing. For the South I usually choose Virginia, King Cotton and Arms Agents.
Is there something I'm overlooking there?
Still not fixed, are you guys planning to address the issue?
Can I ask: What's the purpose of the true/false "Play Nearest" variable in Sounds (B)?
I am trying to tweak the numbers to be able to keep a profitable economy longer than September '61 for CSA. I cannot find why, but public wealth drops drastically around this time for me, and sales tax is hit big time. Tariffs has its hayday of a month, then it starts to drop significantly as well, even with pumping subsidies into trade volumes and envoys. It would be cool to spend profits instead of getting deeper into debt. It's hard to wrap my head around why be able to pay off debt, if at a certain point there is not a way to maintain a profitable economy. Changed public wealth base income to 500, increased the numbers for the lines pertaining to how much income from which tax group (tariffs, sales, income, corporate, land sales), it helped a lot, but still cannot maintain it for some reason. It's like the surplus of 350 million profits vanish even only fielding 50k men. The intended economy isn't supposed to maintain profits in the war, I understand that. I am asking what is available for me to tweak to where I can maintain a profitable economy with a sizeable fielded, equipped army. campaignprefs has been the best way so far for me to actually learn the game, instead of playing a campaign and watching the charts to economy. Whoever is to credit for that code-to-text file, please forward my thanks.
