#1 If their dlc idea sticks, it be easier to firstly make two more dlc for the west and central area.
#2 Going back to Napoleonic Wars would be a game design stepback, worse weapons, less travel, etc.
#3 Even bigger and more detailed map because Europe was more Populated.(lot of work)
#4 Even more countries/factions that would need to be set up properly (lot of work)
#5 What people suggested the American Revolution War makes most sense, since the map is already there.
And even if so, it'll take years for a new game to come out if they ever want to make another. So keep talking about it again and again won't make it happen either. We should be happy for what we have right now.
It all depends on game design and you can have interesting game simulating people fighting with sticks and stones, while you can also have simplistic design involving modern weapons.
Hopefully this series will gain momentum and devs will go back to Napoleonic Era at some point. I certainly would like to see that.
American Revolution seems the most likely second game.
also. the guy back handing the Napoleonic wars then suggesting the American revolution is hilarious to me
hmmmmmmmmm
ok to flesh this out a bit
you could do the 7 years war as a start, just the European sector
then the French Revolution
then the wars against the french republic
and finally the Napoleonic wars
yes the last two mix a bit. but that is perfectly fine
there you go
a road map for maybe 6 to 8 years of games
2. I'm not sure the current team could pull off the Napoleonic Wars without seriously limiting the scope, and or limiting it to individual campaigns... but that doesn't mean they won't try. They've already proven that they are very ambitious with their vision for their games. Who knows, maybe they're already planning on expanding the team for the next game.
3. I've seen a few people suggesting the Seven Years War for the next game... Oliver has already made a Seven Years War game. It's old, but go check it out. I really hope they don't turn around and revisit a conflict they've already covered, when there are so many other interesting conflicts to explore
the revolathorie war or WW1
What is the name?
I am joking. I think we should let the developers focus on fine tuning this game before thinking about other projects. You know how much you hate George RR Martin for losing focus.
::slowclap::
RR martin is an asshat. this is true
same.
