My CSA Guide
Apologies but i had problems when i tried making a guide so i post it here:

So you decided to go CSA, know that you will mostly be outnumberd but thats why you decided to go CSA.

Policy wise its your choice but i usually go old dominion, industry, and cotton is king, arms agent for springfield rifles is tempting but sence you get better rifles later its more beneficial late game not to do it and better boost farms and industry, old dominion boosts support and makes the yankees sligtly easier to rout.

Policies
1. Military as it boost projects founding giving acess to better rifles.
2.Militia act (more recruits)
3. industry up to level 2.
4 Military level 2 and then draft, you replace losses easier and can build new regiments with volonters.
5. 2 year contracts (more recruits)
6 Either go industry 3 ( for weapon production boosts) or 3 year contracts for even more recruits but taking this again when your already having new regiments in training reduce your readiness. pick 3 year contracts after industry 3.
7.Now its time to boost the farming up 2 levels.
8. Economy 1 then tariffs ( we are not relying on interventions anyway)

Recruiting
Build as many infantry regiments as you can early game, they get some training before the war and it makes it easier for you to rearm them with better guns than 1500 or 3000 regiments availible as war starts.

Dont underestimate cavalry they will be very useful as mounted skirmishers once you have better cavalry weapons.
some artillery but not alot wait with this.

Once war starts you are going to recruit 3000 size infantry that will have smoothbore muskets untill you get more and more of the better rifles, the smaller regiments are going to get the better guns and do most of the skirmishing, weakening the enemy and drawing them in so that your muskets can fire, every enemy infantryman dead before the main firefigth is one less bullet hitting your men.

Stay near objective and use cover as much as possible.

Projects
Military wise start with confederate rifles you get 2 rifles with longer range and a cavalry weapon that can almost match springfield rifles in range.

Artillery go either cast artillery or confederate artillery, the iron napoleon is worse than the bronze one but you get a machinegun and the williams is a decent mg that outrange enemy infantry, iron napoleons can still do damage and you dont rly care if you lose them.

Go cavalry reform before artillery reform to boost the firepower of the cavalry.
after you also done artillery reform its time to reduce upkeep costs and reorganise the army, logistics and increased training.

In non military subsidies go administration reform(makes policies finish faster)

Industriy: Industrial subsidies to start with then weapon production and then infrastructure, then industiral subsidies again and so on.

Farm: Farm mecanisation as it not only boosts your crops giving more food but also gives more volonteers.

Economy:Market reforms, dont forget to build prison camps before the war and markets once war starts to help with goods.

Diplomacy: Brittish rifles but the union will blockade you and this will make it so it takes longer for you to get the weapons and its more expensive for same preformance that the Springfield rifled musket has , but the cavalry weapon is sligthly better then richmond carbine but richmond is good enough.

Weapons.
You will be able to give all your cavalry richmond carbines quite fast due to the cavalry regiments smaller size use them as skirmishers, dismount them and use them in loose order on the flanks of your smoothbore muskets. They become harder to hit and more range.

Fayetville rifle is a very good rifle with 500 range and 3 rounds a minute it has decent accuarcy not exellent you will use this rifle as well as your starting missisipi rifles to skirmish the enemy and draw them in before they are rly ready.

Because this weapon is rly good and more useful overall due to higer rate of fire you dont want to stay in firefigths with the enemy infantry thats the smoothbores job, fall back as the enemy advances and move up your muskets, it takes time to get alot of these weapons so use them carefuly.

Richmond Rifle: This is a decent rifle that still outrange the Springfield rifle but 50 meter less range than the Missisipi rifle, same rate of fire as the Missisipi but not same accuarcy and worse bajonet, still useful for weakening regiments drawn in by the Fayette and Missisipi Rifles, and will help the Smoothbore regiments.

Missisipi Rifle: a great skirmishing weapon with a very good bayonet, the accuarcy is very good but it suffers for a poor rate of fire,I like this weapon but Fayetville does the same role baiting in the enemy but with a better rate of fire.

Use those you have with caution and rely on the enemy to provide you with more.

Springfield Rifled Musket: Hard hitting weapon with a good rate of fire with 3 rpm, 400 range, decent accaurcy and decent bayonet.
Springfield musket: devestating in close range and has a decent bayonet so it does better than mixed musket.

Williams mg: good on the flanks, outranges enemy infantry and demoralises them can also bait enemy in if given time and kept safe from enemy artillery.

Iron Napoleon: Accuarcy is quite poor it has lower rate of fire than the bronze but if the goal is to canister well you waste less shoots because of its slower rate of fire, keep the enemy arty distracted with these whilst your infantry hammer the enemy infantry, after battle is won you are going to rout all enemy artillery anyway, if you can take an enemy arty out do so (preferbly from long range) , the enemy migth reman the guns with infantry soldiers but then they cant deploy skirmishers and has less rifles to point at you with.

Use your weapons in the rigth role, use better range weapons as much as possible to weaken the enemy up only when you have to figth you use your muskets to take the fire to save the better guns regiment, sence your muskets has 3000 men they give alot of fire to the enemy and pushes the enemy back with all the support fire you give to the muskets.

Remain on the defensive untill you have a good amount of better weaponary and the weapons you have availible tru projects have been standardised so you get more of them faster.

These weapons is going to be the mainstay off your armies and is all you need, you can take Legacy rifles later if you want to combine Missisipi with Fayetville Rifles but it increases costs whilst you should be focusing on reducing costs for you army.

Stick with weapons the enemy cant produce on their own so they will provide you with alot of guns you save money not producing but the enemy wont get the same benefits, when the enemy has donated alot of bronze napoleons then you can just switch out your iron ones if you want.

Spencer rifles are very good no doubt about that but this is luxury, and expensive, cavalry will benefit the most with the carbines as you still outclass enemy infantry with Fayetvilles.

Strategic map.

Combine the armies of Georgia and Tenessie, they will later move into Kentucky.
Missouri State guard combine with armies of the West and Guard the Fort.
Texas army is going to siege the forts in the indian teritories mostly.
Lousiana Army going to guard its territory against yankee incursion.

Give Lee command of the Army of Potomac Army and give him most of the Virginia troops availible for recruting.

Army of Shenedoah along with Hamptons Legion is going to be used as Supporting armies for the Potomac armies, you want to give the commanders experience and less strain in terms of Logistics.

These armies are going to be small but once you get drafties availible you can fill out these armies with 1500 man infantry regiments that will then get drafties to fill out the rest and these smaller infantry regiments migth get newer weapons easier, so Lee hold enemy in place whilst the smaller but better equipped armies hammer enemy flanks.

South Carolina militia will move up to Lee and either attack with him or defend whilst Lee moves up with Hamtons Legion up to Fredricksburg.

Once Washington is undefended take it with the Carolina Militia Army.

Apologies for some misspellings.
