Gattling guns
ik this is gonna sound stupid but gattling gun should be unlockable when you get diplomacy 5 or whichever one you unlock the Dreyse needle gun.
the gattling gun was invented in 1862

First, it's spelled Gatling. Secondly, it was invented by an American in America, so it was not a foreign import. Thus, a higher diplomacy level should have nothing to do with it.

first off, its a spelling error and second off, you have anything else to add besides being autistic, i gave the suggestion of unlocking it in level V diplomacy cause it was used in few numbers during the civil war, so having 160 GatLiNg guns in an army(1862) would be a little op.
So like the needle gun it would be a good late game weapon

The "special" weapon types (Gatling, Coffee Mill Gun, 1-pdr Williams) are not yet in, as they would require completely different functionality than the basic artillery. They may appear in the game later on, once other stuff is out of the way.

I'm pretty well-read on the Civil War. I could be wrong but personally I can't recall a single battle where Gatling Guns were used. But I do know if they ever were used it was VERY rare. And only the Union had them and they already have a huge advantage as it is

There was one that I had heard. Gen Butler think purchased 4 of them out of his pocket. Used when Army of The James supported Grant and his operations on seige of Richmond. Used one battle, was not effective, nor was it a deciding factor. Think the Rebs had one as well but it wasnt hand cranked but hand feed. Problem was the feeder would snag a hand usually resulting in loss of finger or fingers. Dont know if that was ever used in battle. Just wanted to toss some knowledge out. Personally, no offense to the OP. Dont think its a useful item. Maybe neat as in a mod. Just want the bugs worked out of this before we tinker with odd weapons.
