DDaDD Cannot open?

Hey everyone, I've been playing Dream Daddy for a while and today my game quit working. When i try to open it, I simply get a message that says 'Failed to start the process for Dream Daddy; OS Error 4294956486'. So far, I have:
-Uninstalled and reinstalled the game.
-Restarted both Steam AND my computer
-Verified the integrity of the files
-Cleared the download cache
-And Changed the security information for steam on my computer.
I run steam on a 2016 Macbook Pro. (Don't know the exact credentials for it...)
Please help! I've only gotten to the end with Craig and I'm trying for Robert and Joseph next.

Hi Rae,
I am sorry to hear that this is happening. I will be able to look into it more tomorrow.
But for the time being try the following:
1) Right click (or control click) Dream Daddy on your Steam Library and open the properties window.
2)Select the Local Files Tab
3) Click browse local files button
4)It should take you to a this location in your finder /Users/yourName/Library/Application Support/Steam/steamapps/common/Dream Daddy/
5) Inside the Dream Daddy folder should be a file named DDaDDs.app (or it might just say DDaDDs if your Finder does not display file extenstions)
6) Make sure that file is named DDaDDs and not ddadds.
7) Please let us know if this is what was happening to you.

The file is named DDaDDs and when I click on it, it shows the Dream Daddy heart icon and seems to look fine. I even validated all the files multiple times.

Hey guys! I went in and deleted the DDaDDs file. I went to validate the files and steam had to find new ones and replace the missing files before it could validate them. Eventually it found the files and validate them and I was able to pay again!! Thanks!

This happened to me too after my game updated, but i still have no clue what to do! HELP ME :(

I'm having the same problem. I validated the game files, restarted my computer, uninstalled and reinstalled the game, and it's still not working. All my other steam games are working fine and I was playing this one with no problems yesterday.

Thanks for the report and the further info, Rae. I'm sorry for the issues you all are having. We had some problems with the build settings on Mac which have hopefully been resolved with the most recent update today.

If the update alone does not make it possible to start the game, verifying your local files should fix the issue--to do so, right or ctrl-click on Dream Daddy in your Steam Library and click Properties. In the Properties window, click on the Local Files tab and then click Verify Integrity of Game Files.

If you're still having problems, it may be necessary to manually delete the DDaDDs.app file from the Dream Daddy directory and then verify your local files again to re-download it. To find the game's files, open the Dream Daddy Properties window, click on the Local Files tab and click Browse Local Files.

Please keep us posted with any issues getting the game going. Sorry again for the problems!

I'm having the same problem.
I tried to all,but it's still not working.
Yesterday,DDaDD can't open, because of Trend Micro.
I uninstalled Trend Micro, and it was working.
I turned off Fire wall.
But DDaDD can't open again.
I have no idea what to do.
Please help!

Everything Jory said was exactly what I did. Delete the DDaDDs file, then go in a validate the files. Steam will tell you one file is missing, so it has to find them again. Once it finds the missing file, it should work again.

im having this same problem, however my file is saying "ddadds" and not "DDADDS" , how do i fix this?

Changing to DDaDDs is not working. It plays the music but won't launch past a gray screen.
