Dadsona character creator modding?

Does anyone know if it would be possible to mod the character creator at the start?

The extremely bare-bones and lacking character creator is really holding this game back, I feel. I don't mind the memes or the jokes at all but it's almost impossible to create a character that fits with the rest of the game's style and doesn't look really out of place. I constantly feel like my dadsona is a bad background character from an anime. It's really taking me out of it and makes it hard for me to take the story (which is very well-written) seriously...

I've done minimal programming at best and I wouldn't be able to do it on my own. I am an artist though and I would be able to provide plenty of much needed graphical additions to the character creator. I don't want to remove anything! I just want more options that fit the graphical style of the game better.

Are they even considering Steam Workshop? And even if they are, it probably wouldn't be up any time soon (especially considering how busy and burnt out they must be), right? Does anyone know if modding the character creator is even possible? And if so, how?

Yeah, it feels like dadsona creation was more of a 'What will the streamers like/joke about' than actual creation options. There are literally no eyes that fit in with the artstyle of the game.

It does indeed seem possible! I've been looking into it a bit. I'll keep working on it but I don't have that much free time to actually do it... If anyone (who preferably knows about programming) could help that'd be great! :)
