Brian's Fishing Minigame Tips?
I know it's a fairly simple game but the most I got is around 520 points. How do you get 2000 points?

What I did was took a hard look at the screen while he and the MC were talking and mapped out all possible matches ahead of time before the timer even began. That's how you can start it off well. Also, tey to match 4 fish at a time as you can, thous gives you the rainbow trout which can clear an entire line by just switching it with an adjacent fish. I hope this helps.

Thanks! I'll definitely try this.

Also, a good thing to know is that you can move the fish around to get a more optimal line up. If you try to move a fish into a position that isn't a match, Brian will lecture you about the fish types. BUT the fish will stay in their new positions. So you can force fish together to make a lineup for a rainbow trout if you want, then wipe out an entire column of fish.

Columns are (I think) more valuable to use a Rainbow Trout on than rows because there are more fish in them.

If all else fails, just spam combinations. Try to spam them lower on the board in the hopes that fish fall down and make combinations on their own that boost your score.

If the bubbles bother you, just click on a random fish and the rest won't bubble. I usually pick a corner so it's out of the way.

And try working your way up. The game will always give you at least one combo. So if there's nothing else at the bottom, you can just concentrate on the 1st three rows for a bit.

Try to score 4+ fish to get Rainbow Trouts, don't waste your entire game trying to move fishes around because Brian's chatbox will waste about 2 seconds off your clock (I tried this lol). I had to replay a few times so I can get some decent RNG of fish falling into place randomly and land combos of 3 or more too. A lot of it does come down to speed from the player...

Did anyone else notice that sometimes the rainbow trout didn't trigger on things like 5 of a kind but then other times it did? I never got one of a 6 of a kind L shape, but 5's were sometimes in my favor?

I believe you have to line up four or more in a straight line to get a Rainbow Trout, as opposed to an L or T shape. What's more, they only appear when you swap fish manually, and don't appear if you combo into a 4-line.

Hm, I know I've gotten one from a combo before though. I wonder if there is a cool down on it?

Huh... Maybe? 'Cause I distinctly remember not getting a RT from a combo on at least one occasion.

I have not gotten a rainbow trout from a naturally occurring 5 in a line before too. So I think it is bugged or unreliable that way.

Anyone know if certain fish are worth more points? Just curious
