Dates rating?

Okay, apparently I don't understand that all those S actually mean. I guess A is the best result, B is for good, and S is for...splending? This is a dad serious question, it's the first time me playing a dating sim, and English isn't my first language, so... here's my excuse for not getting the game's ratings, yeah.

i believe S is the highest grade japanese students can receive. since dating sims originated in japan i imagine its a nod to that

I'm not entirely sure why, but S is the highest score you can get, so it goes, from highest to lowest: S, A, B, C, D, E, F.
It may skip E though and just go "S, A, B, C, D, F" though, because some games do that.
A lot of games with a letter grade rating for something are like that but again I don't know why. Hopefully this helps you! :)

I think the lowest is a C (almost I haven't seen lower letters than that)

Out of curiosity, has anyone managed to get an "F" on a date yet? The lowest I've gotten are two "C"s and a "D" on Robert's path if you keep pursuing him after you sleep with him that first night.
