So what I did was cul-de-sac, café, sports thingy, and i think after that just return to cul-de-sac?

I figured it out! you go to all the locations once, then go the the cafe where he tells you to go east (bayside). Then when you dont find it he tells you to go "not-so-east" and then you go to the cul-de-sac.

Go to all the locations in the order they appear on the screen, starting with cul-de-sac. Then go back to the cul-de-sac, and you can give the dog the banana bread Mat gave you to help Damien get the leash on her.
