Amanda Bad Ending?
Has anyone gotten the bad ending for Amanda? I've tried doing all negative responses but no matter how negative I am to Amanda (sorry Amanda), I can't seem to actually get the bad ending. Curious to see if anyone else has had any luck.

I haven't managed to get it yet either, even though I don't really want it. I feel so bad doing all the neg responses lol x'D I wonder if you have to just do the one-night stands with Robert the whole time in addition to the neg responses... will go try that and report back lol.
ETA: No dice, lol

No luck. Basically went all RAWR on her for not texting or calling when she went out, pried into what was bothering her, essentially messed up all the info on her friends then basically told her to get over it.

The only thing I haven't tried is getting bad endings on the dates while being mean to her.

I tried getting bad scores with all the dads but Robert while also being cruel to Amanda (it hurts ugh), no luck there either.

I found it in the level20 file in the game, which covers all the potential Epilogue scenes, so it exists. I won't go into detail about what the dialog is about unless you ask me to, but it seems to check an invisible point total called AmandaTotalPoints, and if the value is more than 50, you get Amanda's good ending. Otherwise, you get the bad ending.

The thing is, I took a look at a save file after I attempted picking the worst answers in all of the Amanda interactions and doing Robert's worst ending without any other dates, and AmandaTotalPoints was apparently over 3000, unless I'm reading it wrong. And I did get the good ending. So it feels like it would be impossible to get 50 or less.

I'm not sure how the points work, though, and I didn't get the good Amanda ending until my second time doing the epilogue; I had no substantial Amanda ending the first time. So take all of this with a grain of salt.

Ooh yes. I totally want to figure this out now lol. I'm kind of glad they're making it hard to be a bad parent, but I hope it isn't just straight up bugged/impossible x'D

i feel awful for choosing all the neg responses, so im just going to be a good parent until somebody figures this out lol

I posted about this in Support yesterday. Can you guys maybe head over there and let them know you have the same problem, so that it's hopefully adressed sooner :)? http://steamcommunity.com/app/654880/discussions/1/1458455461488271592/

Great call with putting it in the support forums. Hopefully others will comment on the thread too!

So this has been bugging the crap out of me and I started testing my output file to try and deal with this.

So, the value for Amanda Points runs from 0 to 100. According to the level 20 file (the file with all of the epilogue functions) you need 50 or less to get her bad ending. My latest output file had the value constantly set at 100. Though admittedly this was my file where I tried to be the best parent ever.

I decided to start a whole new game and after every event check my output file to see how many Amanda Points I had.

Starting the game, my Amanda Points were set at 0. Makes sense. I played through the prologue trying to be as mean to her as possible, I kept us at home for as much as possible (as in I only met Joseph, Craig and Hugo), when I met Hugo I told him "she's fine", I didn't play her word game when I made dinner and at Joseph's BBQ I didn't talk to anyone.

When I got to the Dadbook I saved and checked my output and saw that my Amanda Points were still at 0.

I decided to date Robert first because I remembered there's a dialogue option with Amanda in it that results in the "wrong answer" effect. Did that. Saved. Checked my output and SHE WAS AT 100 POINTS.

Also, so was Joseph... which is weird. Robert himself was only at thirty-something.

I decided to reset and try a different dad. I finished a date with Craig and the same thing - she was set to 100. Joseph wasn't this time though. So yay for that.

I don't know if later dialogue choices can make the value drop. But considering I had an 100 with the "wrong choice" I have a sneaking suspicion that the way the Amanda Points are tallied might be bugged.

I wound up getting side tracked testing something else, but I do plan on continuing to look into this when I have the time.

Update:

Did a few more dates with a few more dads and I got the scene where Amanda cries about her friends. And I was the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ person ever and the internal monologue even asked "did I handle that right".

My Amanda Points were still at 100 when I checked the output file.

There's definitely something wrong with how they're tallied.
