walking mary home
Im doing the Joseph route and one of the sections is titled walking mary home and i swear i've tried every possible configutation of coices and i cant walk her home what am i doing wrong!!

GUYS, I WALKED HER HOME. I did Robert's first two dates, then Damien's first two dates. Then I somehow got the second bar scene with Mary that you get in Joseph's route, but this time she wasn't mad at me (cause I wasn't hanging out with Joseph), so she asked me to walk her home.

Don't know yet how this relates to Joseph's ending, though.

I've got it! So, I went on both of Robert's dates, then Joseph's first one, then both of Damien's. After all of that, I got to walk her home, wish me luck on trying to get Joseph's good ending after this!

EDIT: Oh dang, I was just a second too late to post this lol

You go Adaiah and Sufjan! Great work. I hope this helps. I almost like how complicated it is to fix poor Joseph and Mary's situation.

Not a lot happened when I walked her home so I'm going to assume this is the most complicated one to get and just try out the other dates before moving on to Joseph. Maybe this situation will develop even further or something. Makes sense that the route where you're breaking up a marriage would take the most effort.

Dang, Joseph's my favorite dad so I rushed to try to win him over; I guess I should've thought about it a bit more LOL

UPDATE: after I walked her home, I went on the second date with Joseph and when it was over, I got the bar scene with her again, but now it was the same bad one, and yep, by the end I got Joseph's bad end again. I had some interesting dialogue with Robert though, but I'm starting to think you actually have to go on the first 2 dates with EVERY dad before you get Joseph's good end?? why did they make it so hard :'--(

Hey guys, apparently one of the devs mentioned that to get Joseph's good ending, you need to get talk to one of the other dads. Everyone's betting its Robert because of how close he is to Mary, so try that.

According to Sufjan, doing both of Robert's dates (and Damien's) doesn't fix the ending. I'm currently halfway through playing all the dads' first two dates to see if any other ones seem to help. I'll report back if I find anything.

Yep, still haven't figured it out. I tried every single dad's first 2 dates before I went in for Joseph's last one, which included walking Mary home, but it seems like you always get to see her in the bar again after your 2nd Joseph date, which is where she gets mad at you, and I got the bad ending again. I'm starting to think it's just a bug.

Tweeted Joseph's writer about it, maybe it's worth tweeting the dream daddy account and Vernon too. Seems weird that this would be the case, so maybe it is in fact a bug.

The more I play through the game, the more I'm starting to agree with everyone who is wondering if there's a bug. I played through most of the dads' (including Robert and Damien's) first two dates, and I got to Walk Mary Home. Then I played Joseph's first two dates, and I got a *second* Walk Mary Home scene with the exact same introduction dialogue but with her going home mad instead. I posted on the support forum; I'm pretty sure this is a bug.

If anyone has any more luck, please let us know!

(I did get a new scene where Robert talks to me before Joseph's final scene... which is interesting and didn't unlock when I only did Joseph's dates the first time around. Heavy spoilers, but proof: http://prntscr.com/fybcb8 )

Can we get a general guideline of what options you tried in Robert/Damien dates that featured Mary? Or did you try all of them?

This is exactly what happened to me as well. To me it would seem like getting Robert's pre-yacht convo is some sort of 'good ending' flag because you learn something new about Joseph, but then you still get his bad ending. Weird.

Yep, I got this same thing. It's definitely a bug since, I imagine, you're only supposed to get the scene once and if it's after you do Robert's dates, then you should be in the clear.

I'm gonna try and do Joseph's date, and then both of Robert's dates, and then Joseph's date to see if this clears things up. Since, when I did this, I did both of Robert's dates before even touching Joseph's.
