I felt like sherlock holmes on adderall playing this game

Great concept, but mind-numbingly tedious execution. It's about as fun as mopping the floor, going back and forth, back and forth, over and over. The visual style is a gimmick and very quickly begins to hurt your eyes and give you a headache.

Go read a book instead.

The game is good, but just not good enough for me to recommend it. As a concept its very interesting, it's execution is cool, but the actual gameplay gets very "guess the person" rather than smart deduction quickly because as you progress the game limits the clues so severely and the number of people to identify go down that it becomes easy to just guess the right three sets of people to slog through the last 70% or so. The game itself admits that educated guesses are part of the gameplay, which doesn't serve it well overall, but I will it is satisfying when you do guess it right.

I would've liked to see more use of dialogue to use for deduction purposes, and more inter-relationship analysis as well. But most of the game needs you to assess identities visually, which was disappointing, because the game's visuals are very hard to look at, so it's strange this would be the gameplay style.

I was also very annoyed by its pointless padding, like how you have to wait for the myst to do a loop-de-loop around its favourite pole before revealing the next segment, and it freezes up if you dare look away. Or how each memory scene reveal has a hard-set time you have to endure and will not let you view it in the book until it has done so.

The eight and a half hours I spent playing this game are some of the best hours I've spent on a game.

The logic puzzles were very fun for me until i got too dumb and assumed that i needed to brute force some amount of it. Turns out everything can be narrowed down with given clues i just completely missed a key indicator for names. Still a greatly satisfying experience.
