I'd estimate 15-20 hours for one run with few interruptions - which I would probably recommend as opposed to doing it with other games inbetween, because the experience of the game benefits from keeping multiple scenes' worth of information kinda floating around in your head.
And IMO there's not a lot of gameplay or story left, after one complete run of actually discovering all Fates, so, more reason to do it once with some focus.
I was hesitant to purchase it, but good god does it deliver. This isn't usually the genre that I play, so I was really unsure about whether I should get it, and im very happy I did.
The game is expertly crafted, and you really have to use your brain to get anywhere. It isn't like a normal story game where you traverse some hallways, shoot things, get some exposition and move on until the credits roll.
You put things together at your own regard. I researched accents, slang and geographical information, just so my decisions seemed correct. Some of it is very difficult and its a greatly interesting challenge that I wish I could play again.
With this game, you reap what you sow. Paying attention, taking notes, connecting the dots and researching is the only way to have a memorable experience where you actually complete it. Best of luck!
