Game won't register George Shirley's death

I've identified George Shirley as the English Seaman who was shot by the cannon and blown out the porthole during the kraken attack. I've successfully solved the fates of everyone on the ship, except this guy.

For some reason, the game won't register his death no matter what I input. I've looked it up online and found various causes of death (drowned, fell overboard, shot by a cannon blast), all of which I've tried inputting, but still nothing seems to work. Is this a glitch?

I've read that resolving everyone's fate allows the player to gain access to "The Bargain" chapter. I've done so much work and am dying to know what happens. Can anybody please help?

Edit: I figured it out. After doing some more reading online, it turned out that I had one more unsolved death that needed to be completed. LOL I guess this game wouldn't be much of a brain-cruncher if I hadn't been pushed into doing some outside research. And the ending...wow. It was worth it.

The game registers people in groups of three, except for the last 6 which are identified in pairs, so it shouldn't be possible for him to be the only person left. Make sure there are no empty pages in the book or people you've overlooked except for the Bargain chapter.
