You can disable sound in volume mixer if you use Shindows (Windows :D ).
Find this game in list and press mute button.

Rightclick on the soundsymbol in the windows strip and press on volume mixer. Then mute the game.

You can mute the sound by turning the sound down on your PC under Windows
