In windowed mode and without stretching, everything is fine. I just figured it out, thank you

In windowed mode it is no better. I play in 1024x768 and use QRes to change desktop resolution before every launch. "Normal" 1024x768 in this game is actually a 1024x768 window stretched to a native desktop resolution, not an actual video mode. So without changing desktop resolution before launch the text pixelates and becomes even worse.
