[solved] Brigand refusing to start
I'm on a fresh install, but Brigand has only managed to load the launcher. According to task manager it becomes an application, then a background process, then ends, when started as a launcher. Nothing happens when it's started with the other options. I don't know if there's some mandatory mod or add-on not included with Brigand to get it working similar to Deus Ex, so what might be going wrong?

Sadly the developer will be out of contact for a month according to the News, so I'm not sure if you're going to get an answer any time soon.

Have you tried running it as Administrator? What are your specs and OS?

Have you tried launching it outside Steam? Also, definitely reinstall.

If you're referring to the administrator-required download of about six assets like C++ I did that, I'm not sure on their current status though, as for specs I'm not sure what could be causing problems: it's windows 10 but beyond that I can't tell what else is a potential problem, last I checked it does have the system requirements besides possibly graphics.

I've reinstalled it a couple times, recently too, and when loaded beyond the launcher outside of steam it gets 'Error status 0xc000012f'

I have no idea. Any other computer you can try it on?

According to Google, this: Error 0xc000012f means that you lack the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable files which are prerequisites of other programs such as Microsoft Office.

Try reinstalling or manually installing C++ redists or something?

Is there a specific C++ I have to download or is getting all three good enough? I did the latter directly from the page and it's still giving the error. It says msvcr120.dll is either not designed to run on windows or it contains an error.

It should all download automatically from Steam, so I don't know where to get it manually. I'll look into it soon because I'm moving right now again. Otherwise do you have any other computer?
I'm going to be attempting to test with a laptop, is there a way to redo that download of required things like C++?

Steam does it automatically with essentials like DirectX and C++.
I've got it working, had to remove then reinstall vcredist with registry editor and reinstall Brigand. Only immediate problem is Brigand's custom mouse cursor not showing up, it uses my regular cursor.

Yeah, that mouse cursor problem happened when I switched computers. It's not compiling with the mouse cursor anymore, butt ♥♥♥♥ it.
