Can I make an Enemy Guide?
I've recently completed the Waste Depository (the last level right now), I've been exploring all the nooks and crannies, and I'd like to share my newfound knowledge with the community and new players. I wouldn't include spoilers, just ways to deal with annoying enemies (like flying bones or shadow stalkers). Would it be okay to make a guide? I thought I should ask before making something you may not want, because you said " Also, for future people reading this discussion, the trailer on the store page actually shows how to defeat the first boss. Sooo, consider that to be your first and only hint for game progression." And "... intend for the player to have to explore the levels and think about what they might need to try next to progress through the game ..." Oh, and if anyone who isn't the devs, this was a message of permission to them ;)

Thank you very much for asking permission first!:steamhappy: That is a bit unexpected!:steamhappy: The main meaning behind those quotes was to say that no more big or largely revealing hints about game progression (beyond simple obvious things like "go checkout the mouse's shop" or "try using a different weapon" which I have said on a few youtube videos) would be given directly by the devs as we want the game to largely be a surprise for new people experiencing it and we'd like the players to feel that accomplishment that is felt when you figure out a puzzle on your own. That being said as with all video games and practically everything else on the internet, we expected people to evetually make game guides in some form whether they be youtube video series, discussion posts, or actual game guides. We're perfectly okay with players in the community helping each-other out; so long as they make sure to be courteous with a "Spoiler Alert" if they do mention spoilers. So especially since you asked permission first, go ahead and make one if you'd like to!:steamhappy: We do hope that most players will attempt to get through the game on their own but if they decide to seek out help on the internet then they are still putting forth some effort to search for the info. It just won't be as satisfying for them!:steammocking:

I've just published it. I made sure not to include any bosses or potential spoilers (except the sprites of the enemies, I guess). For now, I'll keep to this one guide, but I'll update it with new levels and such when they come out. One day, I might do a boss guide, but only in full release, and by then, I'll probably have been beaten to it.

Nice!:steamhappy: Although I did notice one major typo. For the slime child you first say that they are vulnerable to blast and blunt damage, but then after correctly say that they are strong against them. I suggest taking out the line where you say they are vulnerable to them and replace with that they are vulnerable to sharp damage. :P

Thanks for pointing that out:steamhappy: I actually remember there was one spot where I messed up, but I couldn't find it at the time :steamsalty:
