you can get it to work in VR, but it is unsupported right now and only works with an Xbox Controller ... turn all of your Vr stuff on, start the game then hit V in game

Will vr be supported in the future?

Pitty, will wait for official VR support with propper VR controls support.

It will come to VR, I am still working on a few things for it. What type of locomotion would you prefer?
Petro Dec 19, 2017 @ 8:59am
Great news! Teleport + smooth shoud be great for everybody.
Rhaegos83 Dec 22, 2017 @ 7:40am

+1 for VR.

For locomotion, allow for choice. I would recommend teloportation first (yuck), but that will allow for the most users to play. After, allow for trackpad, then get creative. There are so many options out there for locomotion now!

How was this not developed with VR in mind from the start? I find that baffling as the original was/is so damn good in VR and quite clearly made for it.

I agree. Traditional play was fun to an extent, but in VR it was a completely different experience. I found way more value in the game with VR than before.

Locomotion -- a button to move in the direction that the controller is pointing. It's fine to throw in a backwards button too. Do not include any strafing. Absolutely never add global rotation. Whatever part of the map starts out facing real-world north, should always remain real-world north. If I want to face the east direction of the map, I will turn to face real-world east. If you add rotation so that the east part of the map is now facing north, I'mma throw up.
