Bosses get much easier the more you play, and so long as you have a character with even moderately good DPS, you can down Chimera before it becomes to much of an issue. Easily the most straightforward of the behemoths. No counter gimmick, no reflecting damage. Just a DPS race.
The other two Behemoths in base game have openings, or can even be stunned. They feel designed to be played against and timing assaults. Where as Chimera is a straight up damage race that you CAN lose if the RNG turns against you and the answer is "YOLO FITE ME".
It might be more straight forward but it also sticks out as a weird play style compared to the other bosses.
Gimmick there is playing around his Elemental damage and making sure you aren't all in on one or two element types.
Chimara is "Please don't instant stun my tank or stunner"
Just follow what cyclonegale said. Chimera isn't as bad as you make it out to be. If you're having that much trouble maybe you're not staggering right.
