Third Behemoth: Goliath
Any tips for this guy? All my runs end on him, having trouble no matter my party setup. Thanks.

The Goliath demands certain things out of your party, and how you approach your turns against him, if you don't have enough of them in combination, you're pretty much boned (and it's moderately miraculous you reached him at all).

You need:
Armor destruction, at least the ability to break 10-15/round.
Dedicated damage dealers (Commando, Enforcer, Gunslinger, anything that hits for hundreds once the armor is shredded)
2 HUGE stagger effects (Commando and Sabateur are best for this, but if you can item out something else it also works)
or 1 particularly large stagger, and at least one character with a stun power
Shield restore/some kind of redirect effect. There's two basic approaches to this, Archon/Aegis, lvl 8 Archon, or lvl 6 Empath (preferably with a shield restore+ item).

If you can put together at least three of the four things, you'll probably clear this no problem, but you actually need to use your powers strategically here.

The approach is mostly the same for everything, unless you don't have strong stagger, in which case you'll need a nitro item to squeeze through it.

Important: It has a return fire effect for the first turn it begins casting a new attack. Check it's current active buffs to see what effects it will add, and always use the attack forecast system to see if you'll hit too hard and break your own shields.

The first attack is single target, so mitigate through it by using taunt+defend, or guard with aegis. Any party member with a friendly-target defense+ skill should help keep the tank's shields up, here, and everyone else should use no-stagger, lower damage skills if possible (for the return damage).

The second attack is the AoE nitro slam, and as long as it doesn't crack shields, the chilled effect doesn't hit your party. For this one, if you have Aegis, make sure she's as topped off as possible and use Fortress with all the +def buffs you've got. If you DON'T have Aegis, you want to check the forecast, and go into defense mode for any shields that get penetrated, others should continue poking the shield as normal, but still be aware of the return fire.

The third attack is where you can start getting a little silly. The absolute best tool for this job is the Commando's Salvo, ideally boosted for bonus stagger, and Sabateur's Blitz. You want to break him repeatedly here, since he only gets a single turn of return fire, no matter how many turns you can break him for. Let everyone else plink at it, and then unload on it during the broken turns. This is also your opportunity to replenish shields for the next round of attacks.

You should have broken his shield by now, and started on shredding his armor. His fourth attack is the anti-matter slam, which I can't recall offhand if it's aoe or single target. Treat it like the first two attacks, you want to build another stagger buffer for the last attack in the cycle.

The last attack is the doom laser attack, again I cannot recall whether it's AOE or single. You want to break him again on this one, at least once, and try to pour on some more damage and get your shields topped off, then weather the hit.

His last move in the cycle is a reboot, stun him out of it if you have one, and try to finish him off here. If you haven't killed him by now, you're in serious trouble, and I'm not sure I can be of more help in pushing through.

Just beat him on the second try, after being annihilated on the first. I grabbed up every item I could find that buffs or restores shields, buffed the hell out of Aegis and let her tank everything while Archon healed and everyone else focused on staggering, stunning, stripping armour and dealing damage. He went down pretty easy.

One thing to also keep in mind, the reflect only lasts for one turn, you can often just stagger him one or two turns while taking little retaliation damage (because stagger moves deal little damage themselves) and then you have 1 or 2 turns to just wail on him without worry of retaliation.

Thank you guys, just beat him and the game after reading this. I just never attacked and thought all damage would get reflected. I actually had no shield regen just really high bleed and high armor break.

I ended up wrecking him on the 2nd difficulty on my current run after failing against him a few times. I had Saboteur with Concussion IV(stagger +10s, Rattled IV) and Weaken Stagger Defense(Staggers Delay 25% more)on his weapon, both of the the debuffs last for 2 turns. An implant with Reach, 10s Extra Stagger all attacks, and fast mover.

I made sure not to use moves that staggered on other characters so only Nodo was doing the staggering. Marksman only used Killshot with sniper mode for the entire fight otherwise he just defended on the take damage turns and the reflection turn I just shot into the return fire since it does so little damage. Aegis pretty much just used deflect the whole fight since all of her damage moves have stagger. She only did damage on the rounds where the enemy was broken and the stagger counter was at 0. Empath spent the majority of the fight casting Stimulate on Marksman with an occasional use of Empathic Surge and Peace. Used the shield and damage auras depending on the situation. Archon spent the 1st half of the fight using Degeneration to strip the armor then switch to Celestial Smash for a little extra damage as these attacks thankfully don't stagger. Didn't even use any of my fury moves since it was completely unnecessary.

If you have any item that can lifesteal health, shield and armor. That you don't have to worry about damage return

I'm confused, whenever I use something like blitz(very low damage high stagger), it says I'll take like 300 damage in return fire?

It probably counts damages from the Behemoth attack aswell

Because you don't break him, his counter attack deal very very low damage (like -10).

Prefer defend the first 2-3 turn and don't do anything (unless you don't stagger him and won't take any damage with an aoe turn) before he have 9 stagger count, then push him back forever till he die, do only your biggest stagger move to delay him forever (saboteur/commando are the most efficient) and if you have good weapon with chilled and rattled, it's an easy win. With your other character, don't use delay if they are low efficient, use powerfull attack / armor break.
