Achievement Not Unlocked

does this only happen to me? I just beat the game on normal at my 3rd attempt yet I have only unlocked despot destroyers achievement.
For record, I pirated this game before and decided to buy it on steam because it clicked (I have beaten it once in my last save pirated version file then deleted it because it felt wrong to not restart), does this matter?

Oh, and when is Pyro useful? Is Dot supposed to be weak? Bleeding can be stacked with flurry (Enforcer and Gunslingers can rekt sh*t with their 4 hits flurry), Pyro is just... it has no niche practical use, no?

Got same situation. Got saves from pirate version - no achivments unclocked in steam version.
I need to add that I've started a new game.
Any fix on it?

Probably there's a file in appdata that stores settings/achievements progress. You'd have to edit/delete that. I won't say more than that. If you took the time to pirate the game, you can take the time to figure this out

tell me the exact address and name of this file please. I already started a new game, but achievements still do not open

Alright fellas I'll help you, since you being here means you had to have purchased the game at some point. But i encourage you not to pirate games unless your policy is to try before buying. Pirating an indie game like Halcyon 6 can be the difference whether a game like Star Renegades even gets created.


Open explorer and type in '%userprofile%\documents\star renegades\'

Open profile.mdi in a text editor

edit the values under the 'achievementProfile' object to reset progress for achievements.

ex. to trigger the 'Lieutenant Liquidator' achievement, set the 'defeatAdversary' value to false, and then re-kill a lieutenant in game.

to trigger the 'Regime Changer' achievement, set the 'imperiumKills' value back to something between 0-9, then kill imperium soldiers until the achievement triggers.

Be careful with the tutorial related ones, because I'm not sure how the game will react to trying to redo the tutorials on an existing profile. It might work if you set the values to false, then start a new game under a free save slot.

You have to save the edits to the file, then load the game. If you edit the files while the game is open, the game will likely overwrite those changes when it closes.
