Flight stick and throttle set up issue
i cant figure out how to set up my thrustmaster flightstick and throttle i havent had these problems with other simulators. i selected it as the controller/joystick and the default sends my plane in a crazed spin on the ground with the throttle at zero and all my attempts to configure it and map it have failed. If you know how please tell me. also it has the built in rudder you just twist the flightstick left and right with your wrist.

This forum is pretty dead like the game itself, so dont be surprised if you don't get a quick support response. The joystick setup is still stuck in the 1990's, everything released since the original IL-2 is way easier. And you realize it's a $14.95 us/month subscription even though listed as free to play, right?I'm sure your problems could be fixed with some effort on your part, but unless you absolutely MUST play this, I'd move on if i were you. If you want free go to war thunder. If you want real, IL-2 series or DCS.

There is a calibration routine IN the game. Select the stick from the drop down and then click the calibration button. Once calibrated you have to assign the axis. Click the stick in the dropdown, in the lower field double click the axis you wish to assign and a new window will open, select the action (rudder, aileron, elevators), click OK. Do the same to all the other axises, and remember to hit save/ok at the end to set them. Buttons are assigned the same way. Hit the button on the stick and in the new window select which action you want assigned to that button and hit ok.

Here is a write up from the AH Help section on how to set up and calibrate your joystick in Aces High.

You would probably get quicker replies if you were to post directly to the AH forums.

You have to select the axis on your joystick and select the axis for the ailerons and elevators. If you have a throttle and rudders as well, you'll have to do the same thing for those controllers.
