Can I fly using mouse as joystick like in AH2? With mouse not trying to move camera but moving ailerons and elevator and activating cursor when you press esc? To set deadzones invert and adjust sensitivity curves for main axes controlled by mouse?
It was very intuitive in AH2 and now I couldn't even end the sortie and had to close game with ctrl+alt+del.
Here is where I would start to setup the mouse http://www.hitechcreations.com/getting-started/how-to-configure-your-joystick-or-mouse
To end a sortie, hit the "/" (slash) key to open the radio bar and type ".ef" without the quotes. It is a "dot command" to "End Flight". There are a lot of useful dot commands. here is a good list of them, tho not complete http://www.hitechcreations.com/aircraft-preflight/text-dot-commands
Try not getting frustrated when you've been gaining altitude for the past 30 minutes with your Lancasters, you just wanna take a look at the clipboard map of the field you're about to hit within the next 3-4 minutes and all of a sudden your planes are sideways, losing altitude at a hopeless rate, nearly blacked out. Essentially the situation turns from "about to hit these hangars / ords /
whatever" to "lets see if I can roll my plane back around, level it out and survive (and evade these very quickly approaching P51s)". Flying ANY serious bomber using that style of control is a disaster anyways. I mean, you can fly it but the chances of executing a successful bomb run is basically 1% if that.
I've played Aces High II my fair share (with a mouse) and couldnt get enough of it but this just ruins it. Maybe it really is a hint by the devs saying 'get a joystick you poor **** and play it like it's supposed to', I don't know, but I think an option to fly with one or the other (without it ever being turned on) should be implemented, for the players that are used to playing like AH2 was.
