Mission 11 Boss Battle

Anyone got any tips on how to beat this guy? I got to this mission in 5 and a half hours. I am now currently just over the 8 hour mark and I have yet to come close to beating this guy. My closest was about 25% of his health left but around the 50% mark I was one shot from dead so I don't consider it to be remotely close.

The only way to do any sort of real damage before running out of T-energy is to melee him. Only issue is I'll be doing fine then I go in for a melee attack. Right after the melee attack he attacks back and sometimes he will go above me or below me and it tries to auto lock him or something because my screen freaks out and I get hit with a bunch of random ♥♥♥♥ and I've lost about 60% of my health. I want to finish this game before moving onto something else but I don't even want to play anymore this boss is frustrating me too much.

Use the blades from a distance when he brings out the single laser cannon. When his health hits zero, you'll need to go in and melee him directly

Yes, this boss is a nerve killer, glad im done with this game soon, just need that boss and thats it then.
