How do you control the bike-type transforming VS suits?

I just played the second mission, and during it you encounter a couple of those smaller VS suits that can transform into bikes. Using keyboard and mouse controls, the only things they respond to in bike mode are transforming back into walker mode and the boost, which for me was activated by the space bar. I had no way to steer or drive in any direction without boosting, and the boost by itself wasn't even fast enough to clear the jump over the gap where you first find the suit. It got stuck at the bottom, but luckily I was able to get back out.

All of the VS controls are bound to something at least, so I'm not sure why they wouldn't respond. All the other VSs I've used respond normally in walker mode, though I've also notice the "turn 90/180 degrees" (I forget which one it is) doesn't work in a VS or on foot, though that's hardly essential.

I just realized this was for LPEC and not LP2 sorry XD
Try using the same button that you use for transforming the spider/tank VS. Also, there are some that don't transform. Those are brown instead of white.

press z:) default mapping and use the directional keys:) i think spacebar boosts it too
