Is it only on learning a nerw spell? or with leveling one up as well?
Had a few failures trying to learn spells using scrolls with like a 8% chance to learn but wanted to see how the book worked thing I added one new spell and raised like 4 others and it never boost the % on the book.
Send the folder in C:\Users\<your user>\AppData\LocalLow\Portal Entertainment\Rogue-Empire\saves\0.9.5\Main\<char name> zipped to german at roguempire dot com so I take a look.
How did I get it to work you ask? Just took some rage, refreshing the dungeon merchant till I was rubbing my last two gold togther wearing nothing much more then my boots and flail, with that I don't care if he ends up naked, with stats in the negatives he's all in till it works or he dies not moving till one or the other happens attitude, or maybe it was the unequiping it aqnd requiping in human form and then having the spell upgrade that did it, personally I am going with the rage.
Now after wrecking my guy to see if this worked the question now is does this % on the bookj stay or does it reset oncfe you use it and it works?
It resets then this is a limmited use item as at some point you will run out of the ability to learn or upgrade spells to bring the % back up again.
When you use it it resets to 0. Still considering ppl have leveled spells to up to level 15 its a fair amount. In average its a 20% more spells/upgrades.
I still would like to see the save as it should recharge with any successful spell learned... Now that I think of, maybe it should change to recharge after spell learning attempt (be it successful or not) to make it more interesting.
Also as a general tip wait till you get your SP up a fair amount when learning from scrolls or even wands. More so with the druid :P
It's funny I usually have like some of the spells just always kind of level up even with only like 14% or less chance like regeneration I got to level 5 before level 10 others like lighting I have a almost 90% chance and it fails.
The spell you can possibily learn is random right? is it only from your class of spells or all the spells?
With it reseting it still would be a ok item and limited use depening on when in the game you get it, and if it's giving you just random spells from your class or all spells in the game would would change how valuable it is, granted for a tool slot item but not sure how many tool slots their are.
Getting this early on it's valus is increased but latter on as you have most spells and their harder to level or do you want to take the risk of losing items over a failure it value is lessened, also it's better for a mage then the druid as the mage has more spells ( a lot of them I don't think he should have or shouldn't be sharing them with the druid or if your going to add in other casters like a paladin, or cleric latter on then spells really should be seperated .) so more chances to increase the book and get free spells.
For the moment the tool slot is rarely used. Also you can just use it when you learn spells. Regarding the type, its always of the class you are using it with.
Off course! If the learn button is enabled you can learn from it! Although wands give a 50% penalty to learning and scrolls a 75% penalty

Wish druids had more spellcasting abilities, its all hack n slash, better of with a warrior.
Was trying the caster druid but even with the book you still need to learn increase your spells 4 times to give yourself the 80% for one new spell or increase so usually taking chances with wands and scrolls to boost the book.
Also when I level my druid usually I get con which is good and a lot of per which is eye roll I mean you could go catsre or physical with druid but rarely get spell power maybe once every 5 or more levels and int or str maybe every other or every 3.
Would like to see a few caster weapons for the druid even a staff that's not ranged.
Makes sense to add a more stronger caster orientation to the druid. Let me think about it as I don't want to make it to mage like.
The problem or issue I have with the druid or mage casting is theirs no seperation of spells really and the mage is getting spells they shopuldn't get.
I don't know if your going to add more classes or not or if they will be casters but right now if this is all your planing on it still should have some seperation, the mage is a utility caster and power like all mages but with a nature class or healer class the spells should be seperated the mage should NOT get any healing spells ( use a potion like the other non healers) that should be for the healer/ druid, add in he shouldn't get summon elementals, vine wall, basically anything nature or healing the druid can't summon a elemental but the mage can?? kind of the druid thing to be one with nature and the element's.
I mean this could be as simple as name changes to some spells with different animations vine wall just becomes wall, mage could summon things from other planes or even elementals but the druid should also get that, even creat food why can't the druid summon food such as berries or bread or natural food that are perishable and have the mage cast it for rations and non parishable, but the mage having " natural regneration" as a spell shouldn't be.
The mage is going to be the main caster but would be nice if the druid could also have a caster option/ route but even giving the druid more spells will not help the issue that he does not get the cards or the abilitiy points on level up to make them a real caster.
