Depends on how you want to build your character really, just be careful on what you put in your 3 main characters, since you'll be stuck with them the whole game. I would recommend picking some internal arts that increase HP for Wei Ziling since she's squishi af, and there are 2 very good arts for gu, one that increases 1 mov and the one you get from helping the blind woman and her brother in chengdu
For Jing Ji, I find Chaotic Yin and Yang, Netherworld 13-form and Steaming Fiery Water Sword techniques good, but I feel like I am missing a high damage technique. The original internal art and the Sun and Moon are not bad for him from my experience.
For Wei Ziling, it doesn't seem like there will be a fight where it is important for her to be strong.
Any ideas for Fat Yue? It'd be pretty useful if I could use him against tough opponents for as long as possible, but I'm not sure about the damage.
The name of the art that increases 1 movement is Ti Yunzong, i don't remember where i got it though, if i remember correctly, you'll get 2 of these, one may be in chengdu when Ji fights that lady with the sword, or delivering a carp (rainbow carp?) for some npc near the market in luoyang.
I never found arts to max Fat Yue, so i used whatever i found on him, he was a permanent member of my party and i was rich at the end of the game thanks to him.
Yeah, that's kind of what I want with Fat Yue, too. If that worked for you, then I suppose I will do so, as well in my second run and see how it goes.
There's also meant to be an internal book they mentioned can be dropped by tigers called 9 yin catkin, but think have already killed all the tigers in their area and not got it.
EDIT: Got the Catkin book, it did turn out to be a random drop and the tigers respawn giving you more chances to fight them.
