Gu has a ton of choices available to him... here are the ones I find useful for him:
For internal styles:
  • Xiaoyao: Roc (his basic choice and one of the better choices for him)
  • Ti Yunzong (+1 movement, pretty much essential)
  • Formless (not a great style, but it's one of the Xiayao styles, so you have to learn it)
  • 9-Yang Divine Art (an upgraded version of Roc and probably the best style for him in the game)
  • Grand S.S.T.N. (worth it for the +5 attribute buff, which lets him get 80+ in alll 4 attributes)
  • Congenital Art (I'm not totally sold on this one, but it gives +135 health and +55 energy a level)

For active styles:
  • World-Shaking Fist (probably the hardest hitting single target ability you'll find until you get half-way through the game)
  • Drunken Fist (the attack grants dual strike for that attack and the next one)
  • Donkey Kong Quan (It's not something I use all the time, but there are some duels where having invulnerability is useful)
  • Six Yang Zhang of Mount Tianshan (A Xiayao style you have to learn, but it's an arc ability that does pretty good damage)
  • Flaming Blade (High damage arc ability)
  • Buddhist Slash (Frostbite is basically Dizziness+Immobilize, it's supposed to be Gu's ultimate ability, but I think the energy use is too high)
  • Doroje Finger (Gu doesn't have a lot of AoE abilities and this one is pretty good)
  • Ten Thousand Buddhas (an AoE Internal Injury ability)

For Gu's original style choice all of them have their strong points, but I like the foot style. The basic attack causes Dizziness (which stops enemies from evading or counter-attacking) and it also gives you an AoE and Arc attack. Gu's Father's style gives you Song Yang's Devastating Grab (a really nice pull attack). The Finger style has Eight Immortals Giving Directions (a stasis attack, which is good early on, but as the game progresses enemies start getting immune to that effect) and the most energy efficient basic attack (which is good if you're making heavy use of Fighting Together and counter-attacks). The void fist style has Splashdown (three hexes in a row and Chi Shield).

I can't help with the Chinese names, but I can tell you where to find them if that helps.
  • World-Shaking Fist. You get this as a quest reward for the quest where Wu Hua pretends to get hit by the rider on the horse from Golden Wind Security Escorts the first time you go to Luoyang City. If you convince him to go straight and resolve his debts, he will reward you with this ability when you visit him at home.
  • Donkey Kong Quan. The drunken monk drops this scroll when he loses the drinking contest with Fu Jianhan.
  • Buddhist Slash. You learn this one by giving the wine and jade cup to the Drunken Immortal in Wangyou Valley, if you've already mastered Flaming Blade, the Xiaoyao styles and successfully examined the strange painting in your Master's house in Xiaoyao Valley.
  • Doroje Finger. This is one of the 2 Finger Styles you get from rescuing Fat Yue when he gets caught burglarizing the scholar's house in Luoyang City.
I rarely have issues with energy usage as I simply artifically boost his health + energy with tea, it is a bit of a hasle, but otherwise not to difficult. I find kongming very good. Internal styles I find 9yin art quite good as it boosts the upper limit, my experience with grand ssth was that it didn't raise the limit, but effectively didn't prove useful as I had already maxed Gu's attributes.

Personally I made Gu a slow moving tank, high damage output, almost impossible to kill. I am still wondering if I should replace drunken fist with windgod's kick now that I have a higher energy pool, but I still got some hours left to find out.

...they translated 金刚 as "Donkey Kong".

WHY.

World shaking fist is not good, you won't use it late game, so better find something else that give more stat boost when learned (for example, you can learn skill that give reflect instead and since he gets attacked all the time you can get benefit from those). AOE ones are very good, you can also not sub doroje finger with the combo kick that aoe all around you (it's the same art that Jiang Yu start with). Donkey kong quan is quite useless, but iirc it's needed for one of the side quest so you have to learn it anyway.

Grand SSTN is optional on Gu because he just needs 5 more max dodge to get 80 in all stats, so an art that just give +5 max dodge like golden goose sutra (which you get multiple of) is enough. You can use it to power someone else if you want (Ji Wushuang, Shui Panpan, Floriculturist, Jiang Yu, Budong can learn it). Only few people can learn Congenital if Gu doesn't learn it then it's Xiao Fu or some weak guys (and Xiao Fu gets a ton of internals too, in particular No Dirge is strong). Ti Yunzong is best used on Gu and Taya (and no one else) and you get 2 copies in the game because they are slow without them, unless you want to use some other low 2 move guys for some reason in your final party (Taya is the best one for both gameplay reason and other reasons).

So basically the optimal Gu's internal is:
Xiaoyao Roc
Formless
Ti Yunzong (just learn this asap when you get the first copy)
9 yang divine art (earlier you can get from monkey rumor, he needs this first)
Congenital Art
any internal of your choice preferably the ones that increase dodge by 5

Other important things to note is, Wei Ziling also gets many internals that are unique for her or her and few others (poison related), so be careful of giving her versatile inners which everyone can use. She starts with 2 (1 gained by talking to Shenlan when you first meet her), then you get Hmong venom and Art of Heartpot. Also the inner from locked chest can only be used on her and Oman, so if you don't use Oman this will go to Wei, and therefore this is 5 inners already. This is why if you get more versatile inners such as Art of Jude or Art of Great Demon you should consider using those on someone else you like. The inner "Everything" is not that good and should prob go to Taya as it only increase energy, or goes to no one, really (or someone weak like Shen Xiangyun who naturally lack inners). In my game I gave Wei "Golden Snake" I dont remember who can learn that, it might be versatile but I use it a lot since I think it is better than her default inners before Art of heartpot.

For Buddhist slash where do you find the wine and jade cup?

Flaming Blade is something Gu is meant to learn after a fight with a monk isn't it? I did that fight and never learned the move.

And because I didn't learn Flaming Blade I am thus locked out of learning Buddhist Slash?
EDIT: Maybe the source I'm using is mistaken and its actually a later monk fight (in a different forest) that you learn it from.
