Please explain numbers on "Effects" Screen.

I am having a lot of fun with this game but as it is not the typical game that I play I am finding it difficult to interpret the "Effects" screen. At the moment this screen shows on the first line the following: E 4 Heart (the shape) 1/1. So, I am thinking that means I have found 4 effects and I have 1/1 lives? Is that correct? The second line is alien to me; it is as follows: 9/14 then 0/0. There is so much spacing between the backslash and the next number that I am not sure if they go together even.

The heart number is incremented whenever you buy a drink from a vending machine, and has no effect on anything as far as I'm aware.

I think the last two numbers are for EXP and MP, as those are hard-coded stats in RPG Maker, but I haven't looked at an RPG Maker game (or indeed this game) in a while so I don't know for sure. Regardless, these numbers are essentially meaningless in the context of Yume Nikki.
