V2 Release Update?

Seriously though Shamiah, read up on this game and Cleve. Best intentions aside, it will come when it comes. If you are chomping at the bit to play the game, play it as is, I am sure you will enjoy it without it being to its completion. If you need it to be at its full completion (or to the current promise of such), then wait... It will eventually come, though not likely in an expediant manner. I too am waiting and that is from playing it back in its earlier versions waiting for the release (long before its steam release). If you have purchased this, put it aside and wait if you must. If you have not purchased it, wish list it and check back every so often. Either way, you will "eventually" get what you desire. but it may take time.

I find it easier to avoid the antcipation of this release by pushing it off to the side and focusing on other things, only checking back on random occasion for that pleasant surprise that V2 will be released and that sweet cRPG intoxication will succomb me.

Good advice. I know some people give Cleve a hard time for missed dates and promises. I never would because I think it's AMAZING that one person (Cleve) could make a game this large and complex. I'm guessing RPGs are not small or easy to make.

So I give him a pass on the missed dates and what not. Still doesn't stop me chomping at the bit to play it. Haha. For me it's about the price reduction that will come with V2. I just can't spend the $35 right now. Hoping it's going to be $10-$20. Guess we will see!

UPDATE 21/09/2018 Patronage Works In V2!

Players noticed that the "Patron" tag for vocations was purely ornamental in the first version of Grimoire. It was another feature that was in the original design document but did not make it into the first release because of time constraints. The purpose of the "Patron" tag hinged on shrines, which did not yet exist when the game was released. Once added to support the new functionality of Inventory Workshop, they can also fulfill their original purpose to provide a unique way of leveling-up for certain vocations. When you find the shrine that is appropriate to a profession (they are scattered throughout the game) you have a one-time only opportunity to pay in gold at that shrine to advance a level! This should probably be saved for very high level characters so they can gain yet another level without grinding the experience points but simply BUYING a level increase!

The last two are part of a Lovecraftian mini-adventure quest that is purely optional. The Accursed Church can only be accessed at night with a password given out as an Easter Egg for completion of another new quest in the game.

I am aiming for the end of this month. Working on it every day time permits. There is a lot of new stuff in the game and it all has to be tested after adding it. The new stuff really makes the game perfect.

Purchased this the day it was released and still havent touched it yet. Ive just been waiting patiently for it to be updated and perfected. Cant believe its been almost a year, wow time goes fast...
Im certianly looking forward to playing it, whenever v2 is released...and if it takes a while longer its all good, take your time and I appreciate the work you put into this, thanks cleve.

I'm with you Ricky and Son. I bought this day one and decided I will wait for the perfected version. Plus I just love following the progress of this game. I check in about 2 to 4 times a month to see how things are coming along.

I didn't realize THAT much more content was being added! Really looking forward to starting from scratch again and exploring the new areas, and complete a couple of the NPC quests that weren't working last year

@Blind Ryan - The manual isn't out yet. Supposed to be released when V2 comes out. Not sure when but Cleve had said the end of October for V2. Fingers crossed but we will see.

hmm.. I pondered buying it today... then after some debate with myself I purchased even though I thought its still not on sale.. I was surprised, it is 16,79€ now!

So I guess.. V2 will arrive soonish...
