stuck with the hydrolift

i used the gearband and y-adaptor plug and started the generator. I went to the potentiator room and placed both of the magneto disks . The glass busrt and i fought the worms.
still can get the pull chain to do anything now in the hydrolift.
What am i missing?

There's no loading screen when you pull the chain, so it might actually be taking you down?

i didnt place the discs in the correct order.
