Barrower Metalsmith
Was rolling a Barrower Metalsmith to play with in a new group. I had previously thought if you had 15 bonus points on creation you could add points to hitpoints, stats or skills. It seems to take a roll of 25 to make a Barrower Metalsmith but even when I roll a 44 I am not receiving bonus points to add to hitpoints, stats or skills.

Was wondering if you are not allowed bonus points for that class and or wether Barrowers were receiving the 1.4 multiplication to level up and creation points that is listed.

I just tested this. I think that the Metalsmith class is bugged. Bonus Points did not work correctly for Barrower or any of the other race/class combinations I tried with it. I haven't tried all of them yet though. If it ends up not being the class at fault, but the race, Barrower Metalsmith, Bard, and Sage all do not work correctly.

I am going to link to this thread in the bugged classes/skillpoints thread and hope this gets attention.

Been doing more testing. Wolfin Metalsmiths can use extra bonus points, if you want to try that combination. Durendil Metalsmiths can use extra bonus points as well.

Last edit for this: No other race that is capable of becoming Metalsmith can use extra bonus points.

Cool thank you for doing extra work. I will probably wait for a fix or ruling on it I've been waiting for a little while to play again for some fixes I can probably wait a little while longer.

I noticed this with the Necromancer as well, atleast I've never seen the bonus points happen, not sure if my rolls are just too low or if it's a bug.

Some of it may be that rolls are too low or can't go any higher, or that new penalties were introduced, but some of these race/class combination issues are definately bugs. For example, according to the in game descriptions when choosing races Barrowers, Drakes and Giants are supposed to be good picks for a Metalsmith, and Drow are supposed to be a good pick for Necromancer. Yet none of these races have access to the extra Bonus Roll points left over after becoming those classes.

Don't forget gender can affect those bonus point.
Men have more str, women more (i don't remember if it is FEL or somethings else)
The various class pre-requisites you can find on the web are usually done with male character.
