Quick questions about the controller
What does L3 and R3 do? I hear that a lot of people still have the issue where these buttons don't work still today after all these years. F'ing Konami!! Is it a big deal playing without these commands? And has anyone tested to see if it works on the King Kong 2 PRO controller?

Thanks in advance!

They are for responding to dialogues, they work if you press the sticks before dialogue ends, it's like some quick time event right stick click is no, left yes. it says in the tutorial it unlocks different dialogues, not a huge deal if you ask me, but Just played for 1 h so I'm not an expert

The only mechanic that could be useful with the responds are when ADA recommends a subweapon and if you hit L3(I think) she will change the subweapon for you. Now you could do this yourself since changing subweapon pauses the game for you so, it really isn't a big deal. This game was made to feel like playing a mecha anime, so just have fun with it.
I don't own a king kong controller, the nintendo layout hurts my soul in a PC environment.

Thanks, guys. Then I guess people are getting upset for no reason.

What do you use then? I haven't even tried keyboard and mouse since there wasn't a key bindings page in the game.

I use a Razer Wolverine(Xbox style). I'm not sure if the game detects Switch controls since there is no built in custom remapping. Last time I tried using a Wii U pro controller to play Bayonetta, the game recognizes where A is located and that means on the right rather than the bottom. Against my muscle memory since I played this game on the original PS2. If things are awkward for you, look for 3rd party Button remappers like JoyToKey. Just search JoyToKey alternatives. I like that your controller is a hall effect but most likely was made to answer nintendo's stick drift issues.

Edit: Well I just tried with the Switch Pro controller but the game will not recognize the controller. You have to force steam controller input and then it will work, L3 and R3 too. Also on steam controller setting there is a toggle that can switch A and B, X and Y to make it more natural/original.

Overall if the kong controller have any issues either custom remap it with steam or a 3rd party button remapper.

LOL. I thought you used keyboard or maybe a DS4 after your statement. Razer Wolverine is not much different from King Kong PRO 2.
