game runs too fast

My game is running at like 10x faster than normal. How do I fix it

Did you try to turn v-sync on?

I have this problem as well. If you have a high-refresh monitor ( mine is 144hz ) and get it to run at say ( in my case ) 144fps, the game-logic is tied to the fps and jacks up the speed. I have some other ports of older Japanese games that do the same thing and it's super annoying. I can't remember what I turned on/off to get it down to 60fps but it works fine once you get it running at the original intended fps.

EDIT:

I Disabled vsync to get it to run at 60fps.

Turning on V-sync in game turns off the frame rate limiter. So to fix it turn off the games own V-sync function, limit the frame rate to 60 per second by external means, or lower your display's refresh rate to 60 Hz.
