it's not that hard to just plug in a gamepad!

This may sound subjective, but if I'm completely honest, ZOE2 plays way better on a gamepad than the touch controllers anyway. If you really wanted to, you could look for third-party programs that emulate touch controller input into gamepad controls, but I would just not even bother and just plug in a PS/XB controller and be play it as intended.
