Japanese Voices?

English dub of this game is terrible.
Non-native dubs are terrible in general.
Will we have an option to have original japanese voice overs?

Voices won't match what is being said on screen as you'll still have dubtitles.

What about this part?

Japanese language as in subtitles. Even if they don't include dual audio in the game. You can always download the Japanese version of the game (same way if you wanted to play with Japanese voices in MGSV).

Oh? How did people manage that with MGSV? What settings on Steam do I have to change to force that? Or are we talking about replacing files?

I changed the language to japanese in Steam game properties and it doesnt have effect, even after verify cache (it said 158 files would redownload) and restarting steam. Any ideas?

I'm sure we're going to need to mod it, probably for license reasons.

But that's okay, because the English dub is terrible and it's a miracle we get to relatively easily fix that. The dub isn't even bad from an always-use-original-audio perspective, the translation itself is extremely awkward and much of the dialogue doesn't even sound like how people actually talk in English. It must have been a remarkably rushed/cheap translation.

My main hope is that some fan gets around to retranslating the subs.

Not sure if modding will be possible now that denuvo is in place or at least the extent of how much can be modded.

MGS V have Denuvo and there are mods.
