Quick question about solo play
Hello. Are you able to ditch the AI companion? I don't want it - it will irritate the hell out of me. Is the game feasible solo? Think I read somewhere that a dev said it's probably possible to solo, but that the game was designed for co-op, NPC or real. And yet I hope...

Thank you.

yes but also no. you can definitely handle all bosses and such solo if you are smart enough but exploration is 100% co-op/NPC needed. there are sections specifically designed with 2 players/ characters in mind. sort of a tale of two brothers situation. but combat and such sure its possible but will be hard.

you can turn the AI companion off in the settings.

You will need the companion to open one or two doors, but there is a skill that you can unlock that will allow you to open them solo if you really want to go at it alone, but that only comes later in the game. (You don't have to open that many doors though) Other than that, (and I think one mission right in the beginning) you probably won't have a problem. I also didn't want the companion around and was getting irritated that they would kill some of the earlier enemies before I could even get a hit in, but by the end, I started enjoying and appreciating the help as there are a lot of enemy placements that would be quite difficult to face alone.
