help with fps

My pc was running this game to a satisfactory standard until I reached The Loom, where my fps dropped to 2fps. I've already got all the graphics setting on low but is there a way to lower them even further through the simple editing of a .txt file, modding, or should i wait for an upgrade so i can continue with the game?

well to start off id say go into your settings and make sure these things are set into place. make sure V-sync is on and you have a frame cap of 30 or 60. if you are low low end i recommend 30 not a huge difference.

If you are playing on a cpu that has trouble playing a game like skyrim or even the original dark souls then it might not be up to running this game well. I have a good rig and play with all ultra settings 60 fps and even I still get frame drops occasionally so its not optimized greatly.

something I might say since you are in the loom it might have something to do with maybe AI? or lighting since im pretty sure that area is dark with a lot of light sources and a buunch of enemies

thanks for helping mate I'm pretty sure im just due for an upgrade. wish the game had more advanced settings like rendering for objects/entities and more res settings.

well I hope everything works out. I got my rig from IBUYPOWER cause im lazy and didnt wanna buy and make one. its around 2k$ usd and runs almost everything flawlessly at max settings from what i can tell its just games not being optimized well that screw people over in the end.

thank you. i ended up just moving my save to my friends pc and beating it there last night (loved the final boss). I still hope someone can figure out how too make even lower graphical changes
