Can you please elaborate what the purpose of VR in a third person game is? I never understood that.
See Hellblade and GTA 5 for examples of 3rd person VR done well.
I don't see how it puts me in the world, cause all it would do is have the screen glued 5 cm in front of my eyes. I guess moving your head is what you think does the immersion? I don't need to change my head all the time to change what I can see, so I don't get that either. In the end, you still use a gamepad, right? Unless you are interacting with the world and your character through VR like in that Alyx Half Life game, I don't get how it can be called VR. It's would just be another depth of 3d.
I'm a medical professional who uses vr with clients.
Motion sickness is the brain's discomfort with things not matching up e.g. you're upside down in VR and yet your balance sensors are saying you are right way up. Your brain is reacting to uncertainty.
Or, VR frame rate drops / movement lag when you turn your head / low resolution.
For some, that is just about being in VR. Eyes are saying it is real, logic is saying it is not = uncertainty. Brain says "don't like this, stop".
The trick is to keep going. Show your brain it isn't dangerous. Nausea doesn't lead to vomiting for the vast majority. Vomiting has evolved out as the brain's response to danger for obvious reasons (think of running from the tiger and then stopping to vomit).
Remember that exactly the same argument was levelled at the introduction of "3d cards" 30 years ago.
With respect, please do a bit of research on something before you post on it.
VR works fine in 3rd person.
This game is way too easy until the very end when it feels about right. Then if you play on CoS mode it's about right until the very end when it feels like the devs hate the player.
Cool story bro!
Please do a little research before posting about VR (you're in danger of looking silly). Google is your friend.
Na, I posted everything right. Wanna more realism with ur dumb vr than use ur weak physics abilities too. You like realism, right? Well, let everything be more realistic amd die in every game because of your small limit of strenght too, why not?
