English Translation is sick and inappropriate

In this game, the Kano's diary is translating into "d-i-c-k diary", hello???? It is an insult word and obviously it is not the original meaning for the content.
"Deka" just means detectives, it doesn't contain such strong negative insulting meaning. Meanwhile, Kano is respectful to Tateno and using such insulting word is inappropriate. I don't like this type of translation.

I've never heard of d-i-c-k is been used as detective in modern days. if you call police "d-i-c-k", sure they would shot you without doubt. Using "cop" would be a much more reasonable translation here.

I live in America and nobody is using it to refer detective anymore. plus, using an outdated term in modern context is not very professional. In either way, it could be a better translation and I don’t like a coming out of nowhere d-i-c-k jokes and so called humorous.

Its not a common term, the usage itself is not inappropriate. Its not anything anyone should be mad about. Its just old slang for detective, like gumeshoe. Its reasonable to use it this way in a literary and localization sense.

But, one character in Ace Attorney is called D.ick Gumshoe. He's a detective.
