Wait, there's a 13-episode anime called Canaan and it's a sequel?

So I finished 428: Shibuya Scramble with all the extra scenarios, and I've just discovered that there was a sequel in the form of an anime called Canaan that occurs two years after the events of 428.

There's a lot of reviews of Canaan online, but none of those that I found actually played the game it is inspired from, so I'm having a hard time figuring out if it's a worthy sequel.

Has anyone that has both played 428: Shibuya Scramble and watched Canaan could give a quick review of the latter from the perspective of a 428 player?

If someone would write a guide about this, I would expect them to have at least watched the anime first.
