Are we only allowed 3 companions instead of 4 or will it unlock to 4 at some point?

Something I noticed while replaying and back into MC. If you kill Hargrave, the quest of teamwork and returning to hargrave doesn't remove. =)

You can't have more than 3 party members (max party size is 4) at any given time. You'll be able to recruit new party members in chapter 2. you might have already met some of them in chapter 1.

Not a stupid question. No, you can't go back there from the Factory (once you get there, the only way forward is to the Habitat), so you can use an old save (try an auto save when you entered the Factory) or start a new game.

Yes. To explore the deeper levels you'll need certain items you could only obtain in the Habitat.
