That's cool to hear! Also another thing to keep in mind with the is that they use melee attacks to the head, so a sturdy helmet can go a long way.
You wasted yr precious energy ammo in... the yellow zone ?! devs&seasoned players be like : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wnedkVrgFF0
On a more serious note yeah that's a rough deal as at the end of the red zone there is some uber gear including fancy armor&weapons&toxic immunity mask...
Keep in mind that if you put the weapon back into your equipment backpack, it will reset.
I just wished I had given Jed Tough Bastard for 10hp more. Also: I switched him to pure Melee-Armor. (different Trousers and Arms). Edit: turns out I switched even to the really heavy Melee Armor.

Jed Crit big hammer Knockdown (with the good stim Jed can get up to 20 AP, which is good enough for two Knockdown Attacks.)

Yesterday enemy damage was more spread out. If you are postioned unlucky and one and the same char gets all the "hugs" and Floater attacks, he will go down.
Probably worth taking Zen-Stim against the Panick-Attacks from the Floater

The other Eye-Implant upgrade (+4 Acc, +2 Crit) would have been even better I guess.
Will do that next playthrough.
Meeh I managed to win that combat(no biotech weakness reveal) back when creper pulls deactivated energy shield and without having habitat companions just good ole Jed&Faythe ...it was one tough nut to crack that combat but i eventually pulled it off with just Jed getting Ko-ed(turns out putting 2 creepers in stasis until the rest of the battlefield got cleared was the key)
