Performance issues (Good PC)
Running with a 2070 super and an i7 6700K as well as 16gb ram. My game even in the menu stutters between 15-30 fps. Updated drivers and verified game files and still issues. please advise.

Umm sorry to break it to you but that^ is at best a mid range PC for 1080P gameplay :steambored:

Anyways don't know what to tell you as i'm on a fairly mid PC myself (i5-12th gen with a A750(on par with or slightly better then a 3060)) and can run this game without any performance hits whatsoever...

Try lowering down the graphics settings especially these: texture&shadow&effect quality to low as well as motion blur&bloom.

Also not trying to be snarky or anything but these days a 2070S is bottom of the barrel for anything recently released and barely adequate for 1080P gaming especially given its age and the lack of several advanced graphics instructions that are rather common these days making it perform way worse then smth like an A750(that in theory has less raw horse power)

PS: just so you know i'm not trolling you or anything, this is the in game fps(top right) counter showing 80fps for me with all the maxed out graphics settings for this game : https://imgur.com/vrb5eXT & https://imgur.com/4o9SSyv <-- and this is when its idling at the main menu(460fps)

PPS: doesn't mean i'm running the game with these settings mind you as id rather not have the gpu fan mimic a boeing plane taking off(joking but its fairly loud and too distracting for my taste while providing me with very little of worth in return(started out my gaming hobby way back when MS-DOS was a thing and one could count the pixels on Doom's enemy models)

I mean BG3 Runs at solid 60 at 1080p, not saying I've got a high end PC but I definitely should be getting better frames.

yeah mate I know it's a slightly older rig, I don't really care about the stats of it. The point I'm making is I succeed the min requirements and I should be hitting 144fps but am not for some reason.

It's weird. At which resolution are you playing on? Is that 15-30 constant or at a particular menu?

I developed this game in a 2080 and never had issues with max settings at 1080p (4k took a big drain, though).

Yeah when I first ran CS I was running it on a 2070 super and a 4790k with zero issues at 1080p maxxed out. I would look into cooling on the 6700k - I have worked on builds for people to correct throttling issues due to overheating, if that is happening it would absolutely bottleneck your 2070.

I was playing in 1080p on my primary monitor. I've refunded the game now bbut might rebuy in the future.
