Some questions about Bounty Hunter quest

So, I'm a bit stack on a stage after talking with Knurl in Mission Control. I did not kill him instantly and promiced to talk about bounty with Harbinger, so he has gone away from the map. Now I've met Harbinger again in the Heart and decieded that she wil be a better choice for the party. But Knurl is stil missing in MC and i cant take his life to end the quest.
Is there any oportunity to find him again without taking his route, or i'm just stuck where I'm now, cause the only option is to kill him when you first met?

Oh, tnx, he really returned when i chose dialog option when you are not sure about killing him, but then agreed again to do it. Somehow i missed this variant before

you can get a fist fulls of dollars for doing the quest, but for a few dollars more you can hang em' high. dunno if that is the good, the bad, or the ugly
