I had to fight 2x armored monk + 2x named monk after leaving the bridge but I think in my first game there were more nameds incl. Azrael.
And even with my superman character the fight was difficult.
But yeah, the monks are supposed to be absolute beasts. I like that there is a final, extremely difficult fight. I mean, its not like you are stuck - it's optional, you don't have to go against their wishes and do a surprise immediate landing to finish the game. Going down there unprepared is probably not the best idea anyway...
Nope. If you do something that the monks really really don't like, they'll all turn on you as soon as you leave the Bridge.
I thought the game doesn't throw enemies at you that are beyond the system? These guys were *beyond* cracked out in terms of stats. 100% Toxic Immunity, high Vision and seemingly at least 100 Thermal. Along with *way* more than 20AP. I won by the skin of my teeth; these guys make Ol' Bub look like a cakewalk.
I managed to hit four of the five with an EMP grenade but then they did the exact same to me. Also I was using energy weapons but I could barely hit them meaning they had Evasion level around 10 or so. Even my tankiest character(my main) who I scrimped and scoured and saved to get every implant, upgrade AND overclocked and the MKII Combat Armor set only just survived by the skin of his teeth.
