Wouldn't other weapons perform better for Dodge This? That's sort of my point (part of it).
Is there a solo ranged build that doesn't use Dodge This? I really wanted to make a tank build with Healing Factor work, but it just doesn't for me.
because that's what i am
shotgun toting hulk
i'm soloing with ease
its all about character set up and
a map like vision on the game from progression
you have to manage your resources while scouting
for easier encounters at the same time know every stat, mechanic, exploit
and every intricacy of every piece of gear and weapons etc. everything.
your soloing so you have to know it all
this knowledge will give you the power to proceed further. Gaining exp is your friend.
I'll keep trying, but it just doesn't feel good anymore. I am regening 20 HP per turn with the stim, but it doesn't mean much when a single enemy does that much damage to me (through 16 DR and half damage from crits via feat), while also disabling me in numerous ways.
I am looking at all those Dodge This builds and it's such a world of difference. A guy with a rifle just twoshots any humanoid opponent in the first turn at any range with 100% hitchance and close to 100% crit chance. My next run will certainly be some kind of Dodge This variant.
I would very much like to see a non Dodge This build, especially a tank build, take on Ol' Bub. If anyone has a video, or a whole playthrough of a tank build with Healing Factor I'd love to check it out.
Burke is the Mags fight, right? That was also pretty straightforward, I shot Mags a bit turn 1 then cloaked. While cloaked, I moved up toward her and waited, letting the aggro stims wear off for the other 2. When the cloak expired, I just shot her at point blank until she died.

Here's my very reliable solo Juggernaut build. I'll record beating Ol'Bub in a few hours.
Melee is next on my list of solo playthroughs, thanks. I'll use this as a reference. Very interested in the Ol' Bub fight.
Here it is, the title is descriptive.
First try, not even close to being in danger.
Pistols and shotguns have the biggest variety in the game.
You also get the energy shotgun pretty early.
