Change Game Difficulty During play?
Is there a way to change the game difficulty for an already started game?

Sorry, no. But if you're finding it particularly difficult early on, just go ahead and play on Hero. When you can beat the hardest optional challenges in Hero, then make an Underdog playthrough.

Unfortunately, not.

I assume you ran into a difficult fight. For feedback purposes, may I ask which fight?

Best you can do is change the rolling method from "loaded" to "dwindling numbers" to "true RNG".

That's what I did and frankly I'm having a better time of it even with a weaker combat MC(Evans and Jed pick up the slack MAJORLY).

It's 2, the one for the gang bothering Hank and then the fight to save Smiley. I know neither are required but tried a couple dozen times and gave up.

Lemme give ya some advice, come back once you have some gadgets and Poison/Flashbang grenades to use. Disruption Fields and Energy Shields are good and help out quite a bit. Have your fastest character poison to make the melee guys have to run through it to get to your squad and on top of the one dude in armor.

If you have someone with high movement, go close the door and it'll delay their fourth guy from entering the fight proper till turn 2.
I assume you're running this with Evan, Jed and Fayth if a full party?

You need to add the option to change diff after creation. I'm not very far in but i'm not gonna go back and replay simply because you only have 2 diff settings.

For this kind of game I'd imagine changing difficulty in the middle wouldn't be practical. There are more than 2 settings though, you could set it anywhere in between. If you're not very far in, it shouldn't take you long to get back where you are, and hopefully you'd enjoy it more since you're more familiar with the game now.

Nah, I just refunded it. I was interested but the difficulty balance is WAY off in a way that any intermediate DM would understand.

There's always playing on a difficulty setting other than hard.
